The perfumer Henri Robert succeeded Ernest Beaux (creator of Chanel N°5) and composed Chanel N°19, the last perfume to be selected by Gabrielle Chanel in person. She was looking for a bold statement. The perfumer harnessed the green notes in his formula by incorporating iris, a very expensive raw material from Florence, Italy. It brings a feminine touch to N°19. Gabrielle Chanel was born on August 19 and is a Leo. So she used her birth date to name her new, spirited perfume.

                                            Perfume description

Soaring green notes provided by Iranian galbanum and floral notes from the neroli from Grasse. The middle note blossoms to its full potential with the rose of May and the iris from Florence, Italy.
